The distillery itself was established many years later in 1839 by entrepreneur Alexander Matheson\, who after 28 years decided it was time to pass the distillery onto new owners. DESCRIPTION:The Library is thrilled to welcome \nBrugal Rum \nfor our spring cocktail class! \n\n\n\nSaturday\, April 22nd\n12pm-2pm\n$45 Tickets \nMembers receive 25% discount*\n{ space is limited } \n\nFor further information\, please see below \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Join the MWL staff and our friends from Brugal as we experiment with their spectacular rum from the Dominican Republic\, and learn about its history and production. Brugal is a 5-generation rum producer and still family-run by Jassil and Gustavo Brugal.  Jassil is one of the few female Maesta Roneras in the rum world and has helped to guide Brugal’s current surge in quality and creativity. With its versatile flavors\, Brugal is the perfect spirit for a wide array of spring cocktails\, whether it’s chilly and overcast\, or bright and sunny! \nWe’ll have experts Colin Howard and Nic Smith on hand to give us the proper tips and techniques for making flawless cocktails\, both shaken and stirred.
