Additionally\, he spent years building new spirit brands while managing the PNW market for an emerging Indiana whiskey maker. \nAt Westland\, Tyler shifted his focus to production and has been extensively involved in every aspect of the operation\, ranging from mashing to blending. His recent endeavors have centered around the development of new whiskies\, employing a comprehensive approach to supply chain management and process optimization. This work has earned him recognition from Whisky Magazine\, naming him the 2023 Global Distillery Manager of the Year. \nTyler is deeply passionate about collaborating with industry partners\, including researchers\, farmers\, and maltsters. Together\, they strive to identify and sustainably cultivate flavorful barley varietals that benefit all stakeholders within the supply chain. Embracing the belief that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’; Tyler has also assumed the role of Chair of the Education Committee for the Washington Distillers Guild. Through this position\, he hosts events focused on enhancing operational excellence for distillers across Washington.  In addition to his professional accomplishments\, Tyler is currently enrolled in the post-graduate program at Heriot-Watt University\, where he is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Brewing and Distilling.

DESCRIPTION:2026 LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION\nPRESENTED BY: KIMIKO MATSUDA OF THE IDEA FACTORY\nWe are pleased to announce our fourth celebration of the Lunar New Year.  In 2023 we hosted our first Lantern Festival\, an opportunity to celebrate a cultural holiday near and dear to many of our hearts as well as a chance to share and learn with the curious\, it was a resounding success.  Please join us in celebrating the year of the horse at MWL! \nAn opportunity for members and non-members to gather and connect at the library outside of our traditional table service. Focused exclusively on whiskeys\, Kings County has made a name for its Bourbon\, Peated Bourbon\, Empire Rye and other creative whiskeys. \nFirst located in a 325 square-foot room in East Williamsburg\, Kings County began as the smallest commercial distillery in the country\, with five 24-liter stainless steel stills making whiskey seven days a week\, 16 hours a day.
