It was an instant success. This year our annual Derby party returns bigger and better than before\, with a very special guest host Peachy Springs! Multnomah Whisk{e}y Library is thrilled to invite guests back to what will surely be the most audacious\, raucous\, hilarious\, and dare we say\, fabulous derby party ever! \n  \nJoin us for an afternoon of cocktails\, whiskey tastings\, Southern inspired hors d’oeuvres\, and the most exciting 2-minutes in sports.  The party will feature activities\, prizes\, and a caricature artist to capture complimentary portraits.   Guests will also have the opportunity to support our non-profit partner Retired Racehorse Project through an interactive ‘horse race auction’.  Donate by bidding on the horse of your choosing\, and win prizes for being one of the first three to cross the finish line. 100% of auction proceeds will go towards the Retired Racehorse Project! Prizes include event tickets\, exclusive single barrels\, gift cards\, and a 1 year membership to MWL! \n  \nIt wouldn’t be a derby party without a celebration of fun spring fashion. For our members who like to dress for the occasion\, we will be nominating guests for Best Derby Hat! Big\, bright\, tiny\, or tasseled\, we hope to see y’all pony up this year for the best party yet. \n  \nWe hope to see you there!

In every drop of good tequila\, there is a hint of defiance\, the slight taste of a gamble won. A truly remarkable collection of tequilas\, Expresiones embodies the extraordinary payoff you can only achieve by taking a risk. Aged in the best bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace Distillery\, these tequilas hold unique characteristics—kisses of rough rye and sweet bourbon—that make it a tequila unlike any other. \nThe aging of Expresiones is what makes these tequilas truly remarkable.  Buffalo Trace Distillery barrels infuse the blanco with unique character\, enticing the palate with the charm of its age and char. They are stored in the first row at Casa San Matias’ aging facility to ensure the ideal level of air flow to aid in the aging process. The barrels are then evaluated every 2 months and monitored until the desired characteristics are achieved. \n\nMembers and their guests are invited to join us for a casual complimentary tasting of Corazon Tequila aged in whiskey barrels side by side with whiskies from Buffalo Trace Distillery. \n\n\n\nWalk-ins welcome and RSVP appreciated! \nMembers may bring up to three guests per tasting. \nAttendees must be accompanied by a member of Multnomah Whiskey Library.
