Following in 2007\, Meehan opened James Beard Award-winning bar PDT\, and a second branch in Hong Kong a decade later. Meehan moved to Portland\, Oregon ten years ago\, where he designed the bar and beverage program at Takibi when it opened in 2020. Celebrating her indigenous roots\, Alexa centers traditional and ancient cooking methods while translating it to a modern setting.
