Mocel Mezcal Meet Your Maker
ABOUT THE EVENT
We are thrilled to announce the next installment of our Meet Your Maker series, welcoming co-founder of Mocel Mezcal Rosalinda Mendoza for an exclusive guided tasting.
Mendoza will walk us through an interactive tasting featuring rare mezcales from Michoacán, Mexico. This tasting provides members a rare opportunity to enjoy these newly added bottles at a discounted rate, with light hors d’oeuvres to compliment the pours. Please note this event will be an intimate gathering in the Library’s Tasting Room; all seating is communal.
Whether you are a scotch drinker, new to mezcal or have been drinking mezcal for years, this is a unique experience to learn about the rich history, fascinating process and the complex flavor behind North America’s first liquor.
ABOUT MOCEL
Mocel is an artisanal mezcal handcrafted using Michoacan’s traditional wooden still and distillation methods. A time honored method dating back 400 years, the process is time intensive, using 100% agave and water without any additives.
Founded by sisters local to Michoacan, Rosalinda and Elizabeth Mendoza, they were inspired by the mountainous region and vibrant culture. The Library is thrilled to welcome Rosalinda for this rare opportunity to share their handcrafted spirits.
