& one surprise pour…
Our Study Hall event series was created for our members to convene with our resident experts to share the history, distillation techniques, and flavor profiles that adorn our walls. For this next installment we are thrilled to partner with the accoladed Scottish distillery, Highland Park.
Nestled in the storm-lashed Orkney islands, Highland Park has been operating for over 220 years, producing Scotch with smoked barley and over 4,000 year old peat. The influence of the salty sea winds, intensely rich peat, and the finest sherry-seasoned oak casks create Highland Park’s uniquely complex balance of sweet and smoky flavors.
Guests will enjoy 5 expressions from their distillery, accompanied by light hors d’oeuvres from MWL. Edrington ambassador & regional manager Matt Holtgreve will return to the Library in conjunction with MWL Spirit Curator & Education Manager Brett Adams to share the storied history, rich distillation process, and the influence of their famous sherry casks. The tasting will include a surprise, limited edition pour from Highland Park – so this won’t be one to miss!
Due to the nature of the event, seating is pre-assigned and communal. Requests made in advance will be accommodated to the best of our ability.
We look forward to hosting you!
