Charlie Whitfield was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. At the age of two, his granny bought him a raffle ticket and he proceeded to win first prize; two cases of The Macallan 10 Yr, thus starting his lifelong fascination with Scotch whisky!

After six years working in the Duty-Free Industry based in London after college, Charlie moved to the US. It was in New York that he realized his lifelong passion for whisky and started working for The Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky. After starting as the national brand ambassador, Charlie now manages The Macallan brand education and prestige whiskies throughout the Americas.

Charlie will join us in the intimate setting of our private Tasting Room to provide insight and conversation on several pours of The Macallan, including the Macallan 12yr, Double Cask 12yr, Fine Oak 15yr, and Rare Cask. Light bites will be provided by Chef Ben Grossman, and following the tasting and lively roundtable discussion, we welcome you to stay at the Library and spend time at our fireplace for an additional dram or two.
