2nd Annual Valentine’s Day Truffle Dinner!

With Valentine’s Day falling at the peak of truffle season, the Library’s Chef Ben Grossmann is thrilled to bring you our second installment of our Valentine’s Day Truffle Dinner! We will be serving up a bevy of indulgent courses, highlighting the exquisite seasonal truffles from regions in Oregon, France, and Italy and pairing them with unique sparkling wines selected by our Bar Manager, Kyle Sanders.

First mentioned in the 20th Century BCE, truffles have been a sought-after delicacy, even referred to as “the diamond of the gourmet world.”  Their rarity and short growing season have made them the dish of royalty, even considered by some Greek philosophers to have been created by lightning strikes. In addition to their intensely savory flavor and scarcity, over the centuries truffles have been valued for another reason: their aphrodisiacal redolence. Join us for this luxurious evening of drinking and dining, surrounded by good friends, great conversation, and amazing flavors.
