2024 Lantern Festival

2024 LANTERN FESTIVAL

We are pleased to announce our second Lantern Festival in celebration of the Lunar New Year.  Last year we collaborated with Holly Ong from Sibeiho, and the wonderful team at Remy – Cointreau to host our first Lantern Festival.  An opportunity to celebrate a cultural holiday near and dear to many of our hearts as well as a chance to share and learn with the curious, it was a resounding success.  We proudly bring you another opportunity to celebrate in our second annual Lantern Festival

An opportunity for members and non-members to gather and connect at the library outside of our traditional table service. This networking cocktail hour will be hosted in The Library, with catering provided by local Portland’s Holly Ong from Sibeiho and the folks from Kolectivo.

A PORTION OF TICKET SALES WILL GO TO BENEFIT
OREGON AAPI FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL

Founded in 2023, Oregon Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Food + Wine is a nonprofit created with the mission to celebrate the diverse wine and culinary scenes that make Oregon so unique. The goal is to uplift Asian American Pacific Islander food and wine businesses, promote diversity, and educate the public regarding non-traditional food and wine pairings.

ABOUT SIBEIHO® AND KOLECTIVO

Holly and Pat first introduced Singapore’s multi-cultural cuisine to Portland when they began hosting farm-to-table private supper clubs in 2019. Their crowd-favorite Sambals inspired the opening of their retail store and online shop in November 2020. They first launched with three signature ready-to-enjoy Sambal chili sauces – Boomz Sambal, OMG! Sambal® and AF Chili Chunka Sambal. Made in small batches using all-natural, local whenever possible, ingredients following a family recipe, Sibeiho Sambals are a versatile way to add bold umami flavor to everyday meals either as a condiment or as an ingredient in many different types of recipes. To date, Sibeiho has won three* Good Food Awards in recognition for craftsmanship, flavor and commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Find Sibeiho Sambals in select specialty stores and at the Sibeiho Retail Shop at 740 NW 23rd Ave in Portland, Oregon.Learn more at Sibeiho.com and @sibeihosibeiho.

Kolectivo is an event space, kitchen, and community hub that is the continuation of a story of friends who found each other through similar but separate paths. It is powered by James Beard Award Finalist and Food & Wine Best Chef, Carlo Lamagna of Magna Kusina, Ken Tran and TJ Cruz of blockbuster Modern Filipino concept Sun Rice, local creative Ron Eaves of Eavening Productions, and the founders of Tikim, Jane Barmore, Nori De Vega, and Tricia San Mateo.

The team behind Kolectivo share a similar mission to foster connections in the greater Portland Metro and beyond through an emotional connection to food and hospitality. Through pop-ups, events, supper clubs, storytelling, digital media creation, and design, the identity of the collective evolves.

Guests will have the opportunity to take home personalized keepsakes from the event as we welcome back local Portland Artist Rebecca Nguyen of Line and Wave.  Rebecca specializes in calligraphy, engraving and illustration.  Her passion is to capture life’s little moments in a meaningful and tangible way.

Tickets include a welcome drink, a signature cocktail from our special cocktails for the evening, hors d’oeuvres, and an exclusive spirit tasting provided by Remy Martin.  For the curious minded, management staff will be in attendance to answer questions about membership, events, and more!

We look forward to hosting you!
