For this edition of our Cocktail Class series, the Library welcomes Junior Ryan, Brand Ambassador for William Grant & Sons and their blended scotch whisky, Monkey Shoulder! A superb blended malt whisky, it is named for the hard working malt men who hand-turned the malted barley for many years. Monkey Shoulder is an excellent ingredient for cocktail making and is blended from three famous Speyside single malt whiskies. It is sweet and smooth with hints of vanilla and orange, and it lends itself beautifully to other ingredients for a delectable cocktail. We’ll have MWL Education Director Colin Howard along with one of our talented bartenders on hand to show you the ropes, and guide you through the craft of building a well-balanced scotch cocktail. We will offer lessons on both shaken and stirred cocktails, alongside light bites from Chef Ben Grossmann’s kitchen. To top it all off, each guest will receive a surprise gift to take home!
