FOUND NORTH
Found North is one of the few true blending houses in North America.
Each batch of Found North whisky is a careful selection of casks blended to bring out the best and most distinctive qualities of the chosen whiskies. Every release is unique, but each also builds on previous batches and fits into the unfolding saga of Found North. Their Batches (most recently Batch 012), for example, are shaped around Canadian distillate aged for many years in refill oak before being introduced to custom new wood barrels as the last stage of maturation — an uncommon approach that yields the benefits of age without over-extraction.
At the center of blending is controlled exploration. Control over maturation, oak influence, texture and balance. Exploration of the whisky landscape and the way flavors evolve together over time. They are open-minded but also meticulous about every stage of the process because small decisions compound.
Every Found North release is bottled at cask strength with no additives or chill filtration.
Members and their guests are invited to join us for a casual complimentary tasting of Found North accompanied by small bites from the Multnomah Whisk{e}y Library kitchen
Walk-ins welcome and RSVP appreciated!
Members may bring up to three guests per tasting.
Attendees must be accompanied by a member of Multnomah Whiskey Library.
