We are thrilled to announce our next collaboration, a cross over of our Kitchen Takeover and Meet Your Maker event series, hosting Hennessy’s International Brand Ambassador Max Maconachy and chef duo John & Madeline Denison of Le Clown

 

Join us in the Library for a guided tasting of Hennessy’s rarest and finest cognacs led by Max Maconachy, exploring the monumental Hennessy Paradis and Richard Hennessy. Created by Maurice Fillioux in 1979 as a tribute to symphonic music, Paradis is a union of exceptional eaux-de-vie, selected for their individual qualities to create a harmonious and graceful cognac. A symphonic orchestra. 

 

Richard Hennessy is a blend made from some of the scarcest eaux-de-vie in Hennessy’s reserves, carefully selected and preserved in The Founder’s Cellar. For this reason, Richard has been crafted in an extremely limited quantity: 12 tierçons, a historic barrel handcrafted in French oak by generations of cooper Masters at Hennessy’s own barrel-making workshop.

 

Couple John & Madeline Denison have designed a multi-course pairing dinner to compliment the exclusive flight. Having worked in many kitchens across Portland, including St Jacks and Nostrana,  their newest venture Le Clown celebrates their love of French cuisine. Their residency at Magna Kusina just launched this month, bringing new life to classic French bistro dishes. You can preview their menu for this event below! 

 

Please note the menu is pre-fixe, we politely decline alterations or substitutions. Seating is pre-assigned, we will accommodate requests made in advance to the best of our ability.
