In partnership with Literary Arts, MWL is thrilled to be collaborating with author and journalist Neal Thompson. Neal is a journalist and the author of six acclaimed nonfiction books, including The First Kennedys, A Curious Man, Driving with the Devil, and the memoir Kickflip Boys. A former newspaper reporter, his work has appeared in New York Times, the Washington Post, Esquire, Outside, Men’s Health, Vanity Fair, the Wall Street Journal and more. He has appeared on NPR, PBS, The Daily Show, CNN, The History Channel, Fox and ESPN.

With so many accomplishments it is actually Neal’s newsletter, Blood & Whiskey (sign up on Neal’s website) that caught our interest.  Once a month Neal shares book reviews, recommendations, lists and news, mostly crime stories — mysteries, thrillers, noir, spy capers, also true crime — plus occasional author Q&As. Also: a cocktail of the month (usually whiskey, for those so inclined) and a monthly Blood & Whiskey playlist on Spotify.
