MWL’s Executive Chef Ben Grossmann has teamed up with port specialist Justin Smith to create an exciting and memorable tasting experience. Enjoy five courses of locally-sourced and thoughtfully crafted dishes, served with five unique ports, including Taylor’s 20-yr old tawny, and Fonseca’s ever-popular Bin 27 reserve ruby. Following dinner, feel free to relax by our fireplace with a dram or a digestif.

Founded in 1815, Fonseca has been praised for consistently producing quality port for the last two centuries. This steadiness has long been driven by a tradition of family involvement, as well as a close relationship with and respect for the vineyards, and the environment. Fonseca was the first house to offer a port made entirely from organically produced grapes, and continues to build a loyal community of enthusiasts for their impressive line of ports.

Taylor’s has been producing port since 1692, making it one of the oldest of the founding houses. Noted for their elegance and longevity, over time Taylor’s has made itself the benchmark for vintage port production, and holds one of the largest reserves of rare cask aged wines from which its distinguished aged tawny ports are drawn. Priding itself on a long history of family experience and leadership, Taylor’s will continue to be a major producer of port for generations to come.
