Weston Hoard founded The Piedmont Guy in 2011, after spending four years living in Piedmont and working for the renowed Barolo winery Paolo Scavino. Cameron Abbott, National Sales Manager for The Piedmont Guy, joined up with Weston while overseeing the wine program at Bluebeard in Indianapolis, where he combined his passion for wine with his rivaling enthusiasm for food, training staff on the relationship and harmony between the two.
In this spirit, Cameron has teamed up with our Head Chef Ben Grossmann to create a dynamic 5-course pairing menu, showcasing classic Piedmont wines and recipes. Cameron will offer his expertise and insight on the beverage selections, starting with Luigi Giordano’s unique 2013 sparkling Nebbiolo, followed by Angelo Negro’s 2015 “Serra Lupini” Roero Arneis and 2013 “Prachiosso” Roero Nebbiolo. With the main course, we will taste Luigi Giordano’s robust 2012 Barbaresco Montestefano, and the evening will conclude with dessert paired with a glass of Angelo Negro’s lightly sparkling 2015 “Birbet” Roero Brachetto.
