2026 LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

We are pleased to announce our fourth celebration of the Lunar New Year.  In 2023 we hosted our first Lantern Festival, an opportunity to celebrate a cultural holiday near and dear to many of our hearts as well as a chance to share and learn with the curious, it was a resounding success.  Please join us in celebrating the year of the horse at MWL!

An opportunity for members and non-members to gather and connect at the library outside of our traditional table service. This networking cocktail hour will be hosted in The Library, with catering from the teams at Sunrice and Hey Day as well as cocktails featuring CHO wines and Remy Martin.  The evenings festivities will also feature a Karaoke lounge presented by Remy Martin.

Guests will have the opportunity to take home personalized keepsakes from the event as we welcome back local Portland Artist Rebecca Nguyen of Line and Wave.  Rebecca specializes in calligraphy, engraving and illustration.  Her passion is to capture life’s little moments in a meaningful and tangible way.

Tickets include one featured cocktail, a delicious spread from Sun Rice and Hey Day, tasting stations from CHO Wines and Remy Martin, and more!  For the curious minded, management staff will be in attendance to answer questions about membership, events, and more!
